Veteran footy recruiter Matt Rendell is a huge fan of 2021 draft prospect Jason Horne.
The South Australian teenager has impressed at every level of footy, including in the SANFL against the Adelaide recently.
He picked up 19 disposals, kicked a goal and showed off his strength with a huge tackle on Darcy Fogarty for South Adelaide against the Crows.
Horne has been ranked as one of the top kids in the country, with some phantom drafts currently projecting him to be among the first off the board and potentially the first taken outside of father-son prospects.
Rendell sees similarities between Horne and Sydney superstar Isaac Heeney.
“Jason Horne is a bit of a clone of Isaac Heeney,” Rendell told SEN’s Dwayne’s World.
“Marking forward, about 185-187cm. Really tough kid.
“Plays through the middle, skilful, never plays poorly, always up.

Unbelievable strength and aggression on this kid. Ready to play. pic.twitter.com/mYIi3o8TNd
“He’s a great kid, he’s an interesting kid because he is the adopted son of Fabian Francis. He’s got his dad’s name still. Fabian and his partner adopted him at four years of age.
“He’s a star this kid. He’s played SANFL for two years now and he’s ready to go.
“I think he’ll be the first legitimate pick in the draft.”
