Report: Collingwood formally interview two candidates for senior coaching job

2021-07-25T16:15+10:00

Collingwood have reportedly interviewed two candidates for the club's vacant senior coaching job.

Fox Footy’s Tom Morris has reported that Port Adelaide assistant Michael Voss and Richmond assistant Adam Kingsley were spoken to in person on Saturday.

The formal interviews took place with Voss’ Power in town after their win over Collingwood, and with Kingsley’s Tigers playing on Sunday.

Morris believes Collingwood are looking to appoint their next coach in the week after Round 23, with it remaining unclear if Voss or Kingsley would remain with their current clubs in finals if they were to make it.

Former Adelaide coach Don Pyke is also said to be in the running alongside former North Melbourne coach Brad Scott and Melbourne assistant Adam Yze.

Legendary Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has also been linked to the job, but he told reporters last week that he’d see out his Hawks contract which runs until the end of 2023.

The report also suggests that current interim coach Robert Harvey is not in the running to take over on a full-time basis.
