Port Adelaide champion Kane Cornes has ranked the top six clubs in the AFL as the premiership race heats up.
The Western Bulldogs leapfrogged Melbourne into top spot on the ladder after winning Saturday night’s top-of-the-table clash.
Geelong’s comprehensive victory over reigning premiers Richmond moved them into second while the Demons dropped to third after losing to the Bulldogs.
Port Adelaide beat Collingwood to consolidate fourth spot with fifth-placed Brisbane and sixth-placed Sydney snapping at their heels.
Cornes was asked by a caller how far he thinks the impressive Swans can go in September.
“A long way, the way they’re playing,” he told SEN.
“If I had to do the Gerard and David King seedings, I’d have them (Sydney) fourth.
“I think they’re as good a shot as the others.”
