In-form defender close to finalising new North Melbourne deal

2021-08-18T09:35+10:00

Aaron Hall is close to finalising a new deal at North Melbourne.

A move to the half-back line under new coach David Noble has sparked a significant resurgence in Hall’s career in 2021.

The former Sun endured a tough start to life at Arden Street, largely struggling through 21 games in two years at the Roos.

Hall, who turns 31 in November, was made to wait this year before negotiations started on a new contract.

But his outstanding form means he is certain to stay at North Melbourne on what now appears to be a multi-year deal.

Hall has averaged 27.4 disposals a game from his 19 matches this year and is going at more than 75 per cent efficiency, with his kicking penetration a feature.

Meanwhile, Hall’s teammate Cam Zurhaar has changed management companies, moving from Perth-based manager Colin Young to Anthony McConville’s stable at Mac’s Sports Promotions.
