Kane Cornes has dubbed West Coast the “biggest disappointment” of 2021 after failing to make finals, missing out for the first time since 2014.
Despite having 10 former All-Australians in their team, a lacklustre year saw the Eagles finish ninth.
“Eagles for me - missing the finals for the first time since 2014, 10 All-Australians on their list,” Cornes told SEN Breakfast in response to his most disappointing team failing to make finals.
“There’s something not happening upstairs for them, so that would be the biggest disappointment.”
Garry Lyon believes that West Coast’s poor back-half of the year will lead to some telling decisions being made during the off-season.
“They (West Coast) have been one big disappointment in the back-half of this year,” Lyon added.
“They’ve got some decisions to be made and it’ll be interesting to see what happens over the coming weeks because we’ll get an idea.”
