The club a tall Tiger would be a “magnificent fit” for

Andy Maher believes Richmond’s Mabior Chol would be a great fit at North Melbourne should he decide to leave Punt Road this off-season.

Chol has played 31 games in six years at the Tigers, but looks set to explore his options after becoming an unrestricted free agent.

The 24-year-old has fallen mercy to an abundance of talls at Richmond and looks the most likely to be pushed out the door after the emergence of Callum Coleman-Jones and the return of Ivan Soldo.

If that is the case, Maher believes he would find a happy home at Arden Street in 2022 and beyond.

“Take it. He can do what he needs to do,” Maher told SEN's Bob and Andy.

“Big strong marking presence (up) forward which he’s proven that he can do. Magnificent fit.

“I take that with enthusiasm for North Melbourne.”

Chol was selected at pick 30 in the 2016 rookie draft out of Aspley in Queensland and was elevated to the Tigers’ senior list in 2018.

The ruck-forward kicked seven goals and averaged 10 disposals, 12.3 hit-outs and 3.1 marks across 10 games in 2021.
