The AFL season is complete and it’s time to look at a few of the finalists for the MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year award.
Finishing in the top five was first-year Kangaroo Tom Powell.
Powell played 13 games this season and impressed early in the year in particular.
North Melbourne has unearthed a number of young players this year and had a few breakout after a few years in the system. The 19-year-old proven he has a future at AFL level.
He had a strong start to the season, peaking with 48 disposals across rounds six and seven.
Powell is a finalist for the MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year award.
