The SEN Track World Cup is heating up as we reach the halfway point of the competition.
It’s fair to say that there has not been winners galore in all four groups as each player figures out the best way to approach their three bets.
If you’re crowned the World Cup Champion you win $2,500 to the charity of choice and $2,500 to the wildcard entry.
Let’s take a look at how each group is travelling.
Group 1
Group 1 consists of Patrick Garschagen, Miles Pfitzner, Mitch Ebeyer and Nick C.
Patty kicked off his World Cup journey in style when beating Miles on Saturday. Our man from Sportsbet was clutch with his two $100 win bets on London Banker and Behemoth proving the winning move.
Miles redeemed himself on Sunday against the wildcard of the group, Nick, who had his last bet on Social Element (owned by Campbell Brown) in the last race at Ballarat, and was left heartbroken as the jumper finished second.
Monday was a day to forget for this group, with Patty and Nick settling for a 0-0 draw with none of their bets saluting.
It's a close one!
Group 2
Group 2 involves Michelle Bishop, Clare Lindop, Chris Nelson and Adam.
Michelle started in the best possible fashion with a win over Clare on Saturday with her win bet on Turaath proving the difference.
Our Queensland racing guru, Chris Nelson, faced a very tough opponent in Adam who has been dominant in his two matches, claiming victory against Chris and Clare!
If Adam (no stranger to the round ball code) is to win today against Michelle, he locks himself into the next stage of the World Cup.
Group 3
Group 3 is made up of David 'Taggs' Taggart, Simon 'Scoob' O'Donnell, Jason Bonnington and Atif.
Arguably the strongest group (according to Taggs) is very evenly matched... apart from Taggs.
Scoob made light work of the six-time Group 1 winning jockey on Saturday and so did Bonnington on Sunday.
Monday was all tied as our harness guru (Bonnington) and our wildcard (Atif) were locked in as the pair failed to kick home a winner.
With Scoob raring to go for his second fixture, he holds the strongest position given his unbeaten record.
Group 4
And finally Group 4.
Cam Luke, Campbell Brown, Bryan Fletcher and Tania have been in a close tussle with Cam and Browny notching the only two wins so far.
Cam fell in against Tania on Saturday with his Ayrton return proving more than Tania's quaddie collect which gave him victory.
Browndogg was faultless against Fletch on Monday with both win bets bolting in as our NRL great was left wondering who he just ran into.
Campbell faces Tania on Tuesday as our wildcard entry is looking to get onto the winner's list.
Watch this space.
Don't miss out on the chance to be crowned the best tipster at SEN Track!
