The divorce that “must happen” for Tigers to move forward

2021-09-07T07:39+10:00

Former Wests Tigers player and SEN host Joel Caine has called for the club to part ways with halfback Luke Brooks following another poor season at Leichhardt.

The Tigers have failed to make the finals for ten seasons in a row in which Luke Brooks has been halfback for eight seasons.

“So your halfback is your play maker, eight seasons the marriage of Luke Brooks and Tigers has been there and not made the finals once,” Caine said on SEN 1170 Drive with Joel and Fletch.

“So for me that’s just a divorce, that divorce must happen. Then is it me or is it you. Do the Wests Tigers flourish or does 'Brooksy' (Luke Brooks) go somewhere else and absolutely carve it up?

“But either way, after this long together Luke Brooks and the Wests Tigers it’s just got to part ways.”

Brooks made his Wests Tigers debut in in 2013 and has played 163 games for the club scoring 40 tries.
