In-form jockey Brett Prebble will have his first race ride on star mare Probabeel in Saturday’s Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield.
Trained by Jamie Richards, the Kiwi mare will be looking to remain unbeaten at Caulfield after making it three from three when claiming victory in the Group 3 Cockram Stakes on August 28.
Prebble, who has decided to forgo his ride on Memsie Stakes winner Behemoth, feels he’s made the right call in choosing Probabeel.
The 43-year-old rode the daughter of Savabeel in a recent jumpout at Cranbourne and feels she's on track to claim her fourth Group 1 victory.
You just have to love this mare!

“She’s lovely, she had a nice workout on the course proper and she’s on target for her race on Saturday,” Prebble said on SEN Track’s Bensley.
“She’s big and she’s strong and she’s a high-class horse.
“She sat up alongside her stablemate and it was lovely work, she gives you a feel of a high-class horse.
“She’s really just a pleasure to ride to be honest. She’s ready to go.”
The five-year-old is currently rated the $4 early favourite for the Rupert Clarke in TAB's all-in markets, ahead of Beau Rossa ($4.4) and last year’s winner Behemoth ($6).
