Sam Edmund's trade wrap: Silvagni, Wicks, Talia, Brander and more

With just one game of the AFL season left, the trade and free agency space is set to heat up in the coming weeks.

SEN Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund has provided an update on several names, including Adam Cerra, Jordan Dawson’s likely landing spot and Carlton's Jack Silvagni.

See all the latest here:

Jack Silvagni (Carlton)

“Set to stay at Carlton, it’ll be a two-year deal,” he said on SEN's Whateley.

“There were suggestions he was low balled, and the Blues were putting the squeeze on there, that’s not the case, club and player are currently working through the finer details, but Jack Silvagni is almost certain to stay on that new contract at the Blues.”

Sam Wicks (Sydney)

“Very, very close to signing off on a similar contract (to Silvangi) to a two year deal at Sydney, there’s just some haggling over not much, it’s basically a formality that he stays.”

“If that’s the case the Swans would’ve ticked another box in what’s been a delicate salary cap juggle.

“They might’ve lost Jordan Dawson to South Australia the Swans but they have got their star in Luke Parker for another four more (years) and Wicks will follow him for another two (years) and then they’ve got their former number five draft pick Dylan Stephens and about seven or eight others still out of contact.”

Daniel Talia (Adelaide)

“I think there’s a pretty good chance that he becomes a Richmond player as a delisted free agent, I think he can play for another two to three years.”

“We know he had some bad luck with injury this year, he didn’t attend the Crows best and fairest, he does have a point to prove at 29, he’d be joining for nothing in a trade sense.

“We know that David Astbury and Bachar Houli are not playing so they’ve lost some experience in the back half and I think he’d compliment Noah Balta perfectly.”

Mabior Chol (Richmond)

“He’s likely to walk to Essendon as an unrestricted free agent.”

Adam Cerra (Fremantle)

“Melbourne has come really hard for him, they’ve made their pitch and it’s a pitch that impressed Adam Cerra, Carlton are in the mix here and are the logical choice here but the Dees not having a pick until the second round, it’s going to take a player to make any trade possible here.”

Jarrod Brander (West Coast Eagles)

“We think Geelong’s got an ongoing interest in Jarrod Brander, a former boarder at Geelong Grammar and they were interested in him back when he was drafted and I think that interest remains.”

“He’s still waiting to hear from West Coast about whether he even has a contract going forward.”

Quinton Narkle (Geelong)

“Richmond’s the one that comes up every time, he’s really good mates with Shai Bolton, they’ve got the same manager so there’s a conduit there, I’m not sure rival clubs are banging the door on, there are some queries on a few things but he might make sense at Richmond for all the reasons we mentioned.”

Jordan Dawson (Sydney)

“I think Port are in the box seat for him, he did grow up a Crows supporter and the Crows do have a greater weaponry to make a trade happen and whether Port Adelaide go right in for him, we’ll see.”
