Reports: Rivals circling Cats tall, dashing defender meets with WA club

2021-09-19T09:46+10:00

Geelong face a battle in keeping young tall Nathan Kreuger with two Melbourne clubs expressing interest in prying him away from the Cattery.

Kreuger, 22, played two games for Chris Scott’s side in 2021, and The Age is reporting that both Collingwood and St Kilda are in the race for his signature should he choose to leave Geelong.

While he’s had limited opportunities as a Cat, Geelong have put an offer to him in recent days and have expressed their desire to keep him.

Having almost joined Collingwood at the end of 2020, it’s believed that the Magpies view the tall defender as a potential forward option if he were to make the switch.

Dashing defender Jordan Clark is another who may leave the club, with Fox Footy reporting that he could be headed home to WA.

The report says Clark, 20, met with Fremantle last week as he weighs up his options.

No official trade request has been lodged.
