Socceroos great Harry Kewell has been sacked by English non-league club Barnet after just seven games in charge.
Barnet are without a win in England’s fifth tier and sit second from bottom with two draws and five defeats to start to the season.
The only club below Barnet on the National League table, Dover Athletic, started the year with a 12-point deduction.
Barnet's Head of Football Dean Brennan said in a club statemnt: “It was clear how much Harry Kewell wanted to have a positive impact, but ultimately the results and the poor start to the season have dictated our decision.
“The plan for this season was for Barnet FC to be challenging in the top half of the table and that is still very much our aim.”
Kewell, 42, was appointed Barnet coach in June after previously managing Notts County, Oldham and Crawley Town.
