Sydney midfielder Errol Gulden has been named this year’s MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year award.
Gulden edged out Melbourne midfielder James Jordon to claim the award, riding a blistering start to the year.
He was drafted with pick 32 in the 2020 National Draft, played 18 games in 2021 and averaged 16 disposals per game.
The MEGT Australia Rookie of the Year is open to all players who made their debut this season.
Gulden will be hoping to take his game to another level in 2022 after proving to the world he belongs at AFL level.
