Michael Voss has made an immediate impression on Carlton players in his first days at the club, according to Sportsday co-host Sam McClure.
Voss beat out Richmond assistant coach Adam Kingsley to win the role last month following David Teague’s departure.
The 46-year-old previously coached Brisbane for five years, while his most recent role in footy was as a senior assistant position at Port Adelaide.
McClure said Voss had been “very personable” and “very impressive” in his first few days at IKON Park.
“Carlton players have been blown away by Michael Voss’ first few days at the club,” he said on Sportsday.
“He’s had a huge presence, very personable and very impressive. They got Aaron Hamill in as an assistant and interestingly enough, both have similar qualities in driving standards and culture but they’re now looking for a tactician.
“They’re now looking for an assistant coach to be a tactician, who is going to be the guy that drives the way that they play.”
Hamill recently took up the assistant coaching position after leaving St Kilda, where he’s fulfilled a similar role in recent seasons.
