Port Adelaide ruckman Peter Ladhams has been traded to Sydney late on the final day of the trade period.
First-round draft picks were exchanged in the deal with the Power receiving pick 12 and a future third-round selection, while the Swans nabbed pick 16 as well as Ladhams.
The 23-year-old was contracted at Port Adelaide for another year.
Sydney GM of Football Charlie Gardiner told AFL Trade Early on Wednesday that Ladhams provides the club with a “long-term” ruck option.
“Peter does bring the added dimension of being able to play forward,” Gardiner said.
“We’ve got some young developing ruck-forwards as well in Joel Amartey and Hayden McLean, so we’ll have some competition for spots there.
“We would like to bring him in. He provides a long-term ruck option for us.”
Ladhams played 32 games for Port Adelaide after being selected in the 2016 rookie draft.
Trade paperwork lodged.
