2021-10-15T10:54+11:00

Collingwood has delisted Brayden Sier and Jay Rantall, as the club's list for 2022 takes shapes after the trade period.

Sier, 23, played seven games for the Pies in 2021, averaging 12 disposals and two clearances a game.

He was drafted with pick 32 in the 2015 National Draft but often struggled with injury across his four years at the club, playing 28 matches in total.

Meanwhile, Rantall, 20, spent two years at Collingwood after being selected with pick 40 in the 2019 draft.

He debuted as a midfielder in round six this season and managed four games across the year before he was cut from the list.

Collingwood GM of Football Graham Wright commended the two for their services to the club.

“We thank ‘Bear’ and Jay for playing a role in our program. They wrote themselves into the Collingwood story and will always be welcome,” Wright said in a club statement.

We wish them all the best for the next phases of their careers.”

The club also delisted rookie Isaac Chugg, but has committed to picking him in this year’s rookie draft.

It comes after forward Josh Thomas announced his retirement on Thursday.
