EPL: Liverpool fire, United slip up and Chelsea retain top place

With the international break behind us, Liverpool proved far too strong to open up the Premier League’s matchweek eight putting five goals past Watford at Vicarage Road.

In what can only be described as a dominant display, the Reds’ dynamic front free of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah fired to put a hapless Watford side to the sword.

In other results, Wolverhampton beat Aston Villa 3-2 courtesy of a last-minute winner, Norwich and Brighton played out a scoreless draw, while Southampton beat Leeds 1-0 at home.

Everton play West Ham, Newcastle host Tottenham and Arsenal take on Crystal Palace to wrap up the week’s fixtures.
