2021-10-18T07:05+11:00

Harry Taylor is reportedly returning to Geelong after accepting an off-field role for 2022.

According to Channel Seven reporter Mitch Cleary, Taylor, who retired after the 2020 Grand Final, will work under head of football Simon Lloyd in a high-performance position.

The dual premiership Cat and 280-game defender was appointed operations manager in the Great Northern Football League in 2021.

Geelong recently added club champion James Kelly and Eddie Betts to their coaching department for next year.

Former St Kilda and Fremantle coach Ross Lyon and ex-Cat Matthew Egan have also been linked with coaching roles at Kardinia Park.

Former assistants Matthew Scarlett, Corey Enright and Matthew Knights all departed Geelong after the 2021 season.
