Former Blackcaps all-rounder Grant Elliott believes England are the “most complete team” in the T20 World Cup.
England have started their tournament with two wins from two games, both in very convincing fashion over the West Indies and Bangladesh.
“Going into the competition, I thought India and England are going to be the two (best) teams,” Elliott told SENZ Mornings with Ian Smith.
“West Indies unfortunately have been pretty underwhelming, they’ve come with the big tag of being world winners two or three times and they’ve got a lot of power but I think what we are seeing on these wickets is that they’re low scoring games… you need batsmanship.
“England for me look like the most complete team.”
New Zealand are scheduled to face India on November 1 in what will be a do-or-die clash, with the Indian side losing their first match to Pakistan while New Zealand suffered a five-wicket loss to them as well.
“I don’t want to say India at this stage, we know how good they are, I would love to say, ‘we (New Zealand) are going to beat India’,” Elliott said.
“I really do hope we can pull that one over them because that would be a huge upset, imagine India being knocked out.
“For me, it’s England at the moment (winning prediction), they look (like) an in-form team.”
New Zealand will play India Monday morning from 3am (NZDT).
