EPL: Chelsea stretch lead, City slip up, Arsenal and United earn key three points

2021-10-31T12:43+11:00

Arsenal kicked off the Premier League’s matchweek ten with a backs to the wall 0-2 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Despite the bulk of play running against them, Gunners keeper Aaron Ramsdale continually denied the Foxes with impressive saves, keeping a clean sheet after Mikel Arteta’s side put two goals on the scoresheet early.

Having beaten Manchester United 5-0 on Monday morning, Liverpool weren’t able to continue their hot streak, settling for a 2-2 draw at home against Brighton.

The same could be said for Manchester City, who shockingly lost 0-2 at home to Crystal Palace, they now sit third on 20 points.

It was a bit easier for league leaders Chelsea, who put in a dominant performance away at Newcastle to win 3-0. The win takes them three points clear of the Reds who sit in second place.

The other big game was in London's north, with the Spurs hosting a struggling United side.

With his coaching career perhaps on the line, Ole Gunnar Solskjær rallied his Red Devils who won three goals to nil in a convincing performance.

In other results, Burnley beat Brentford 3-1, and Southampton took the points away at Watford, winning one goal to nil.
