Report: Delisted Dees defender to train for AFL lifeline with Kangaroos

2021-12-05T11:28+11:00

Former Melbourne defender Marty Hore may receive an AFL lifeline this summer as he heads to North Melbourne with the chance of being added to the club’s list.

According to The Age, The Kangaroos have invited the 25-year old to complete a pre-season at Arden St after he was delisted by the Demons.

The former Collingwood VFL star played 14 games in the red and blue across three seasons with his time at the club cruelled by injuries after suffering an ACL tear last January.

The medium sized defender averaged 15.6 disposals per-game across half back in the 2019 campaign.

North Melbourne will have the opportunity to add him to their list in the Pre-Season Supplemental Selection Period from January 10 to March 9.

The report suggests Hore will remain at the club with the VFL squad if he isn’t added to the senior list.
