A sublime Ben McDermott century saw the Hobart Hurricanes comfortably account for the Adelaide Strikers at Blundstone Arena on Monday night.
Just his second BBL ton, McDermott was ferocious with the bat and recorded a strike rate over 180.
The 27-year-old’s knock saw 12 fours and five sixes as the Hurricanes chased down the Strikers’ 175 with nine balls remaining.
That magic moment 💯

Wes Agar copped the most turmoil of the Adelaide bowlers, smacked for 44 runs off just three and a half overs.
Earlier, Strikers pair Jake Weatherald and Matthew Renshaw posted half-centuries to help set the solid target.
McDermott is now fourth on the runs-scored list for the season, while the Hurricanes sit third on the ladder, with three wins and three losses.

In the second game, the Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat played out a high-scoring thriller, the Stars eventually triumphing by 20 runs.
Batting first, the Stars were in trouble early when Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Joe Burns all departed cheaply. However, it set the stage for Joe Clarke and Hilton Cartwright to go bonkers.
The duo put together a partnership of 151 runs, the highest fourth-wicket stand in BBL history.
Clarke finished with 85 off 44, while Cartwright recorded 79 off the same number of deliveries.

Brisbane Heat youngster Liam Guthrie was pummelled to all areas of the ground, and finished with figures of 2-70 from his four overs.
It’s now the record for the most expensive spell in BBL history.
Chris Lynn (57) and Ben Duckett (54) put up a strong fight, but the Heat couldn’t chase down the mammoth total of 207.
"Shot of the day" is a big honour on a day like today!
