Port Adelaide great Kane Cornes believes the $101 on offer for Isaac Heeney to win the 2022 Brownlow medal is the “bet of the year”.
After tipping him to have a “break out” season last week, Cornes cannot believe the odds that Sportsbet are offering for the Swans utility.
“I saw the odds for Isaac Heeney to win the Brownlow, $101 to win the Brownlow, that is one of the great bets,” Cornes said on SEN’s Mornings.
“He’s going to move into the midfield, and I reckon he’s going to explode this year.
“If you’ve got a fiver, whack it on him... that is the bet of the year.”
Heeney, 25, has played seven seasons at the Swans since being a high draft pick in 2014 and has been one of the AFL’s most exciting players ever since.
The 129-gamer has shown ability as both a forward and midfielder in his career to date, but is yet to reach his full potential due to injury and fluctuating form.
