St Kilda has signed former Port Adelaide defender Jarrod Lienert as a pre-season supplemental selection.
Lienert, 27, played 20 games for the Power before being delisted at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
He said at the time that he was “definitely not done” at AFL level, and the backman has made good on his word by joining the Saints.
He had been training at Moorabbin since mid-February and has taken part in St Kilda’s intra-club and their practice match against Carlton.

“We’re pleased to be able to give Jarrod another opportunity at AFL level,” Saints head of list management James Gallagher said.
“We believe Jarrod’s skillset and ability to play as both a medium and tall defender, as well as push up further along the wing, will add further depth to our defensive stocks.
The move completes the Saints list, however they still have the option of opening up an additional list spot after Nick Coffield went down with a season-ending ACL injury earlier this year.
