The top 10 AFL free agents going into 2022

2022-03-09T17:38+11:00

SEN host Andy Maher has listed his top 10 free agents going into the 2022 AFL season.

Just over 100 players are eligible for free agency this year, including nine from Sydney and nine from last year’s runner-up the Western Bulldogs.

“I’ve taken it upon myself to rank the top 10 free agents,” Maher told SEN’s The Run Home.

“Now there’s a slight caveat here – I’ve taken out of the picture some who are eligible free agents. For example, Travis Boak is a free agent – he’s not leaving. In my view, Travis Boak is not leaving Port Adelaide, so I’m not putting him in the top 10.

“There’s a couple in the top 10 who you could easily argue are not gettable and wouldn’t leave, but I’m happy to have that conversation.”
