North Melbourne number one draft pick to miss Power clash

2022-05-12T14:55+10:00

Jason Horne-Francis won’t play for North Melbourne this weekend.

The midfielder has hamstring tightness that flared at training earlier this week, ruling him out of Saturday’s clash against Port Adelaide in Hobart.

Horne-Francis pulled up sore after a session on Tuesday and he had not improved by training yesterday.

The injury is not considered serious, but the Roos are mindful of the load the teenager has carried in his debut season.

The No.1 draft pick has played every game this season after a maiden pre-season program and the club is mindful of his condition.

But his absence does hurt a Roos side desperately looking to improve on its 1-7 start to the year.
