Trent Barrett quits as Bulldogs coach

2022-05-16T11:00+10:00

Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett has reportedly quit his role following the club’s disastrous loss to the Newcastle Knights over the weekend.

According to multiple reports, players arrived at training on Monday morning but were told to leave for the day after being informed of Barrett’s decision.

The players were told to return to training on Wednesday when the board had decided on a coach for Friday’s match against the Wests Tigers.

Barrett took over the Bulldogs in 2021 and has just won five games at a winning percentage of 15.2.

The Bulldogs currently sit last on the ladder with a 2-8 record.
