Collingwood defender Jack Madgen is set for a stint on the sidelines, reports SEN’s Sam Edmund.
Madgen will miss up to six weeks with a dislocated shoulder in another key position blow for the Magpies.
The 29-year-old sustained the injury in the second quarter of his side’s loss to the Western Bulldogs last Friday, copping some friendly fire from teammate Darcy Moore in an unlucky incident which subluxed his right shoulder.
Madgen joins the likes of Brodie Grundy (knee), Jamie Elliott (shoulder), Jordan Roughead (finger), Nathan Kreuger (shoulder), Will Kelly (hip) and rookie draft selection Charlie Dean (foot) in the medical room.
The 11th-placed Pies (4-5) will take an undersized defence to Perth to meet third-placed Fremantle (7-2) at Optus Stadium this Sunday.
Another key position blow for Collingwood with defender Jack Madgen expected to miss six weeks with a dislocated shoulder. Comes after Kreuger, Roughead, Kelly, Grundy and Dean setbacks.
