Kane Cornes and David King have been at the centre of the debate surrounding North Melbourne this week, but found themselves on opposite sides of the coin.
Cornes was highly critical of the Kangaroos’ recruiting earlier in the week, something that King took issue with and the two went head to head on SEN Breakfast.
On everything from recruiter Glenn Luff’s responsibility, to the side’s recruiting philosophies to the state of North’s rebuild, the pair butted heads and debated the situation.
King: “My starting point is if you’re going to talk about someone publicly, and take Glenn Luff’s name out of this, anyone in football, then I think you’ve just got to get your facts absolutely right.”
Cornes: “My criticism has been around the three players left out on the weekend (Callum Coleman-Jones, Jaidyn Stephenson and Atu Bosenavulagi), three players brought in the last two seasons, and overlooking Logan McDonald for Will Phillips in the draft.”
