Lance Franklin has been hit with a one-match suspension for his strike on Tiger Trent Cotchin.
Franklin caught the former Richmond skipper with what appeared to be a high punch just before halftime in Sydney's Friday night win, with Match Review Officer Michael Christian handing down his verdict on Saturday evening.
The contact was deemed intentional conduct, low impact and high contact.
The 35-year-old will have to sit out of next week's blockbuster against Melbourne as he pays the price for his brain fade unless the Swans take the decision to the tribunal.
Is Buddy in trouble for this hit on Cotchin?
