Sports Entertainment Network’s commitment to football continues to grow, with the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 to be broadcast live on SEN.

As part of securing the audio rights, SEN will have a commentary team on the ground in Qatar and Australia/ New Zealand to call each game.

The news comes on the back of the Socceroos securing qualification following a nail-biting shootout against Peru this morning.

All matches from both tournaments will be broadcast across SEN radio stations including 1116 SEN (Melbourne), 1170 SEN (Sydney), the soon to be launched 693 SENQ (Brisbane), SEN digital channels and the SEN app.

SEN Chief Executive Craig Hutchison said: “The World Cup is always a very exciting time for football fans. This excitement will only increase locally given the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 will be played on home soil in Australia and New Zealand, where we have a great presence via both SEN and SENZ.

“We are delighted that the Socceroos have qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. SEN will be there to deliver all the action live with match commentary and in-depth previews and analysis.”
