Eight enter Hall of Fame as Port Adelaide royalty becomes 32nd Legend

There are eight new members of the Australian Football Hall of Fame and one new Legend.

That man is the late Russell Ebert.

The Port Adelaide champion is football’s 32nd Legend after he was elevated into the illustrious group on Tuesday night.

Ebert passed away aged 72 in November last year.

Fremantle great Matthew Pavlich was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside St Kilda champion Nicky Winmar and the V/AFL’s games record holder, North Melbourne’s Brent Harvey.

Also inducted was Carlton triple premiership player and former AFL Commission Chairman Mike Fitzpatrick, Northern Territory and Western Australian royalty Bill Dempsey, WA goal machine Ted Tyson, Norwood legend Michael Taylor and Tasmanian hero Terry Cashion.
