Suns secure huge signature as top draftee re-signs

2022-06-23T17:02+10:00

Gold Coast has re-signed Jack Lukosius until the end of the 2024 season.

The talented youngster has shunned a return to South Australia in recommitting to the Suns long term.

He joins Ben King, Matt Rowell and others in choosing to stick with the Suns.

Gold Coast sits 11th on the ladder with seven wins and a percentage of 111.6 and feels on track for their best ever year.

“I couldn’t be happier to commit for four more years at the SUNS, I’m really grateful that they’ve showed the faith in me to play here and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” Lukosius said.

“It was a decision that I wanted to come to myself, I didn’t want to rush it or be influenced by anyone else. I clearly took my time and it’s one that I couldn’t be happier with.

“We’ve put in some hard work over the past few years, we’re starting to see some rewards now and I think that’s really exciting.

“The work’s not done and as we go forward into our journey we’re really hungry to make sure that we earn all the success that we get as a playing group.

“I’m just keen to get back out on the field and hopefully play my role in taking the club forward to where we want to go.”
