Labelling something a ‘certainty’ in any sport is fraught with danger.
But we’ll attempt to find some anyway.
Here is what we consider certainties for Friday night’s double header.
Jack Macrae 30 disposals or more
It’s low hanging fruit, but Jack Macrae is an absolute certainty for 30 disposals tonight.
Dating back to 2017, Macrae has found 30 disposals in every clash with the Hawks, with the exception of the 2020 shortened quarters … where he only managed 29.
The Bulldogs star is in strong form and it’s hard to see him being restricted around the ball against the Hawks.
Mitchell Lewis for 2+ goals
The Bulldogs’ struggles with key forwards are well known and Mitch Lewis is quickly becoming one of the breakout stars of 2022.
Lewis is incredibly strong and will provide a huge headache for Alex Keath or Ryan Gardner.
The 23-year-old has kicked three or more goals in all but two games this season and it’s hard to see that changing on Friday night.

Multiple goals for Josh Kennedy
The Eagles are building and a win isn’t far away, but one thing is for certain – veteran forward Josh Kennedy will bag multiple goals against the Essendon defence.
Kennedy has been playing his role as of late, kicking four goals in the last three games, including two last weekend against the high-flying Cats.
As West Coast improves, expect the 34-year-old to add to his 18 goals so far in 2022.
Ben Hobbs and Archie Perkins to combine for 35 touches
Injuries bring opportunity and with Darcy Parish sidelined, the Bombers’ young brigade stepped up in midfield.
Hobbs and Perkins combined for 41 touches against St Kilda last week as they took control in the middle, adding a different dynamic to the side.
Up against a lowly Eagles outfit, look out for the young Bombers duo to once again show why they’re regarded as two of the brightest talents at the club.
