COVID chaos continues as Brisbane and Essendon lose players ahead of crucial clash

2022-07-09T10:58+10:00

COVID continues to cause chaos with Sunday afternoon’s game between Brisbane and Essendon.

The Lions have been forced into yet another change, as Noah Answorth became the latest player to enter health and safety protocols.

His exclusion comes on the back of Harris Andrews, Keidean Coleman and Dan McStay all entering protocols as Queensland deals with another wave of the virus.

But their opponents Essendon haven’t escaped the COVID drama, revealing on Saturday morning that dashing defender Mason Redman had also entered protocols ahead of the match.

Both sides will be missing key players for the crucial clash, as the Lions look to keep pace with the rest of the top four.
