2022-07-25T13:48+10:00

David King and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds after Round 19 of the 2022 AFL season.

King and Whateley have ranked the four teams they have the most confidence in, coupled with what they have shown so far.

The seedings will be updated on a weekly basis on SEN’s Whateley throughout the year.

See their seedings below:

KING:

1. Geelong

“They’re playing some serious footy and the spread of contributors, you cannot lock away one man at Geelong and expect that that will impact the game.”

2. Sydney

“(Tom) Papley is the number one score involvement player in the last five weeks in the competition.

“They’ve got wildcards. They play with an attitude, a real anger, I love it.

“They can win the flag.”

3. Carlton

“I was seriously impressed by what they did yesterday.

“I know it’s only against the Giants, but I like their star factor players leading the way every week.”

4. Melbourne

“I think you’ve got to wipe your eyes this week and see it for what it is.

“Melbourne right now is the fourth best team in the comp.”

WHATELEY:

1. Geelong

“Geelong at one for me.”

2. Collingwood

“Collingwood’s at two – they’ve won nine in a row.

“You can’t deny nine-in a row.”

3. Sydney

“Sydney at three for me.

“I like their run in – the top four is at their mercy.”

4. Western Bulldogs

“My wildcard, I’m going to put the Bulldogs at four.

“Last eight weeks, the Dogs are 5-3, Blues are 4-4, Dees are 3-5.

“Just before they play Geelong and Freo.”
