2022-08-09T09:37+10:00

GWS co-captain Toby Greene will miss the remainder of the season after fracturing his thumb.

The 28-year-old suffered the injury in the warm-up on Sunday and played out the Round 21 game against Essendon with the fracture.

Greene kicked two goals from four shots and finished with 14 touches from the game.

A specialist on Monday said surgery would be required, meaning he’ll miss the last two games.

Tim Taranto and James Peatling will also both miss the upcoming game against the Western Bulldogs with concussion.
