Four Western Bulldogs players have signed contract extensions.

The Bulldogs announced on Tuesday that premiership player Toby McLean, Riley Garcia, Cody Raak and Robbie McComb have all inked new deals.

McLean, Raak and McComb have signed on until the end of 2023, while Garcia has agreed on two-year extension that ties him to club until the end of 2024.

Bulldogs GM of List and Recruiting Sam Power told the club’s website: “Toby has been with us for eight seasons and has faced a lot of adversity throughout his AFL journey.

“He is a very respected teammate across the group and has provided fantastic support to the entire program during the rehabilitation of his knee injury over the past 12 months.

“This extension is great reward for his perseverance and effort across two challenging seasons and we look forward to seeing Toby continue in the red, white and blue.

“Riley, Robbie and Cody are all part of our future at the club, and we’re thrilled to see these players sign on at the Bulldogs.

“Each of these individuals have shown attributes, both on and off field, that will hold them in good stead heading into the next stage of their AFL careers.”

There’s also contract news at Richmond with Nathan Broad hitting a trigger to extend his playing contract into 2023.

The three-time premiership defender has played every game this year and is ranked first at Richmond for marks and rebound 50s.

“During the pre-season I had a look at blokes around me and those that were up and coming,” Broad said in a club statement.

“I was a bit of a lockdown and defensive player. So, I probably had a bit of a thought to myself that I needed to add another string to my bow.

“It was something I worked hard on over pre-season and have added it to my game now which has been a positive.”

Broad, 29, has played 106 for the Tigers since arriving at Punt Road in late 2015.
