King and Whateley’s top four seeds for week three of finals

2022-09-12T12:58+10:00

David King and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following the second week of finals.

With four teams remaining, King and Whateley have ranked the Preliminary Finalists from first to fourth, with number one the team they have the most confidence in claiming this year’s premiership.

With Melbourne and Fremantle eliminated, Geelong hosts Brisbane and Sydney face Collingwood in this weekend with the winners progressing to the Grand Final.

The seedings have been updated on a weekly basis on SEN’s Whateley throughout the year, but these will be the last for 2022 with only two teams progressing past this weekend.

See their week three finals seedings below:

KING:

1. Geelong

“This is the Cats,” King said on SEN's Whateley.

“I’ll say it again, it would have to be a freak event for the Cats to not make the Grand Final let alone get the job done.”

2. Sydney

“I’m Sydney, I don’t know what they’ve done wrong to upset you in the back half of the year.

“Full health and the week off, no excuses at home, I think they’ll be making the Grand Final.”

3. Collingwood

“Collingwood at three.”

4. Brisbane

“I think Brisbane are the least likely to cause the upset this week.

“They’re at four against the Cats.”

WHATELEY:

1. Geelong

“I’ve got Geelong at one as well,” Whateley said on SEN Breakfast.

“They’re the most likely to make the Grand Final.”

2. Collingwood

“I’ve put Collingwood at two.

“There’s just something about what they’re doing and it’s even better in the finals series than it was in the home and away.”

3. Sydney

“Sydney at three.

“I moved them to one last week, but I think Collingwood will beat them.”

4. Brisbane

“I’ll have Brisbane at four as well.

“Can’t overcorrect too much, if we’re going to be wrong, we’ll be wrong the whole way through.”
