Lance Franklin will extend his career at Sydney after penning a one-year contract extension on the eve of the Grand Final.
The bombshell announcement comes just days before the Swans prepare to take on Geelong in this year’s showpiece event.
Franklin’s contract has been one of the most talked-about issues in footy, with Channel 9 reporting earlier this year that Brisbane was making a big player for the superstar forward.
But Franklin will again represent Sydney in 2023, extending his glittering career into another season.
The 35-year-old kicked 52 goals this season from 22 matches, including two majors in Sydney’s thrilling one-point Preliminary Final win over Collingwood on Saturday.
