St Kilda has re-signed four players on the eve of the trade period.
Mason Wood, Tom Highmore, Tom Campbell and Jack Peris have all put pen to paper on new one-year deals to remain at the Saints for 2023.
Wood’s signature is the standout of the quartet, managing 19 games in his best season yet as a Saint.
Meanwhile, Campbell filled in for Paddy Ryder on two occasions in the ruck in 2022 as a strong partner to Rowan Marshall.

Highmore managed three appearances in 2022 as an intercepting half-back, while Peris is yet to make his debut after being drafted as a category B rookie.
St Kilda list manager James Gallagher said in a club statement: “We’re pleased to have Mason, Tom, Jack and Tom extend their time at the club.
“All four players have put in a commendable amount of work both on and off the track this year and, irrespective of the number of senior games played, that is a trait we’re always happy to see.
“As we look towards the upcoming draft and trade periods, we will look to further consolidate and strengthen our list, but these recent extensions are important in shoring up our depth across each line.”
Ben Long is now the club’s biggest name still yet to sign a contract for 2023. The 25-year-old has requested a trade to the Gold Coast Suns.
