Former Hawthorn captain Luke Hodge has released a statement addressing the racism allegations levelled at his former club.
Hodge said that he “cannot speak” to the allegations made in the report, instead detailing his personal experiences with Alastair Clarkson, Chris Fagan and Jason Burt.
In the statement released on Twitter, he states that he had to “show support” for those who had done the same for him earlier in his life.

Club president Jeff Kennett also released a statement on Thursday, addressing the situation for the first time.
