Peter Wright has been named Essendon’s best and fairest player for 2022.
The key forward, in just his second year with the Bombers, won his maiden Crichton Medal by polling 242 votes to finish clear of three-time winner Zach Merrett (230) with Matt Guelfi in third (211).
Mason Redman (209) finished fourth and 2020 winner Jordan Ridley (191) was fifth.
Wright, 26, kicked 53 goals this season and also picked up the Matthew Lloyd Leading Goalkicker Award.
