Richmond has their man with GWS midfielder Tim Taranto officially becoming a Tiger via trade.
The Tigers secured Taranto by sending picks 12 and 19 in this year’s National Draft to the Giants in exchange for the 24-year-old.
He has signed a seven-year deal with Richmond.
Taranto was taken with pick no.2 in the 2016 National Draft and has played 114 games in orange across the last six seasons.
The Sandringham Dragons product won the Kevin Sheedy Medal as the Giants’ best and fairest in 2019, a year in which GWS made the Grand Final.
The on-baller averaged 25.5 disposals, 3.8 clearances and 4.8 tackles from 16 games in 2022.
