Report: New club emerges in race to land Hawthorn midfielder

2022-10-11T14:21+11:00

Fremantle has emerged as a potential suitor for Hawthorn midfielder Jaeger O’Meara, according to Channel 7’s Ryan Daniels.

It emerged late on Monday that O’Meara could be on the move, with GWS seen as a leading contender to land the on-baller.

But Daniels is now reporting that the Dockers could be in the mix to prise him out of the Hawks and back to his home state of Western Australia.

While Daniels still believes that GWS is favourites to sign O’Meara, the links to Fremantle come as Hawthorn continues to rebuild their list ahead of Sam Mitchell’s second season as coach.

O’Meara played 21 games for Hawthorn this season, averaging 20 disposals and finishing seventh in the best and fairest.
