Dees acquire key forward depth in trade with Bulldogs

2022-10-12T15:43+11:00

Western Bulldogs key forward Josh Schache has been traded to Melbourne.

He joins the Dees in exchange for a future fourth round pick.

His move continues a merry-go-round of top 10 picks from the 2015 National Draft, with Aaron Francis moving from Essendon to Sydney and Sam Weideman from Melbourne to the Bombers.

Schache was selected with pick two in 2015 by Brisbane, before making the move to the Dogs.

He joins the Demons as key position depth, essentially replacing Weideman.

Schache played seven games for the Bulldogs in 2022, but featured in their 2021 Grand Final side.
