22 to 11 of Kane Cornes’ top footy journos in 2022

2022-10-19T09:34+11:00

Kane Cornes has listed the top 22 Australian football journalists.

The Port Adelaide champion and media superstar kicked off at 22 earlier in the week and has now worked his way up to 11.

Cornes released numbers 14 to 11 on Wednesday, saying: “If you’re in this sphere, you are elite.”

The top 10 will be revealed across the week.

14. Pete Ryan (The Age)

“Whenever Pete Ryan writes something I read it.

“There’s an old school nature about him. He’s a beautiful writer and breaks news.”

13. Michael Gleeson (The Age)

“He’s elite as well.

“It may be controversial (him being at 13).”

Garry Lyon said: “13? He’s nearly my number one! He’s a jet.

“This is sensational what’s happened here.”

12. Ryan Daniels (Channel 7, The West Australian)

“He’s off broadway a little bit in Perth.

“But he is as good as there is in this country.”

11. Mick Warner (Herald Sun)

“This might be controversial too as he’s sort of moving out of the football world.

“Whenever I see Mick Warner’s name on an article, you know it’s going to be big.”
