The 886 names who have nominated for the 2022 National Draft have been revealed, with 56 of them AFL players who were cut this season.
Among the names are former GWS captain Phil Davis and Carlton veteran Ed Curnow.
The Giants announced Davis would be playing on in 2023 in September, though this likely indicates he will be added to their rookie list.
Similar for Curnow at Carlton, with negotiations persisting into the trade period about whether he would be on their primary or rookie list next season.
The midfielder missed the entire 2022 season with ongoing injury issues.
Other players nominating include Jed Anderson from North Melbourne, the Brown brothers at Collingwood, Sydney ruckman Sam Naismith, Richmond’s Sydney Stack and former Bulldogs vice-captain Mitch Wallis.
A number of players who are set to be re-rookied are also on the list, including Paul Seedsman (Adelaide) and Tom Wilson (Collingwood).
