Delisted Roo signs with Gold Coast via supplemental selection period

2022-12-07T09:37+11:00

Gold Coast has officially signed former North Melbourne midfielder Jed Anderson via the supplemental selection period.

The 28-year-old was delisted by the Kangaroos following the 2022 season and joins Connor Blakely (Fremantle) and Jake Stein (GWS) as ex-AFL pick-ups by the Suns this off-season.

Anderson has played 89 games across his career for the Kangaroos and Hawthorn.

Gold Coast was linked to him during the trade period, but ultimately secured him regardless.

Suns list manager Craig Cameron said the club was excited to have the midfielder on their list.

“After a successful Trade & Draft period, we felt it was important to complement our list with some experience, and Jed offers that with 10 years in the AFL,” Cameron told the club’s website.

“Jed can play as a tough inside midfielder but also has the skillset to play forward which we found appealing.

“We’re excited by what Jed can bring to our group and look forward to seeing him in action throughout pre-season.”
